Privacy Policy

FindingFundaa is a curiosity-driven quizzing community (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website (findingfundaa.com) and our mobile apps, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

Account information

• Email address — required to send you a one-time sign-in code (OTP). We do not store passwords.
• Display name and (optional) avatar URL — shown on leaderboards and your profile.
• Phone number — only if you choose to provide it on the mailing list signup. We do not require it for the app.

Gameplay information

• Answers you submit, time taken to answer, hints opened, and the questions you save or report. We use this to compute your XP, streak, leaderboard rank, and to schedule spaced-repetition reviews of questions you got wrong.

Device & technical information

• Push notification token — used only to deliver notifications you opted into. You can revoke notification permission in your device settings any time.
• Basic technical information — such as IP address, browser, device, and app details may be used to keep the service reliable, prevent abuse, and protect accounts.
• Crash and performance diagnostics — if enabled, diagnostic tools may collect technical error reports so we can identify and fix app issues. We do not intentionally include message content or personal profile details in these reports.

• We do not collect your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise location.
• We do not record audio or video.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their marketing.
• We do not sell or share your personal information for third-party marketing.

• To run the quiz experience, deliver questions, count answers, compute streaks and leaderboards.
• To authenticate you (email OTP).
• To send notifications you have opted into (daily challenge, streak reminders, badges earned).
• To detect and prevent abuse (rate limiting, duplicate detection).
• To improve the app (anonymized analytics like “most-played genres”).

• Hosting and infrastructure providers — help us host the website, API, and related services.
• Email delivery providers — help us send transactional emails such as OTP sign-in codes and welcome messages.
• Notification providers — help us deliver push notifications you have opted into.
• Advertising providers — may help display in-app ads and may process device identifiers according to their own privacy policies and your device settings.
• Diagnostics providers — help us understand crashes, errors, and performance issues.

The free web version of FindingFundaa (findingfundaa.com) is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service provided by Google, to display ads on the site.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies, web beacons, and IP addresses to serve and measure ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website and other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You can learn how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services on the How Google uses data page.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and you can opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices.
• Visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland: before we serve personalized ads, we ask for your consent to the use of cookies and similar technologies through a consent message. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time. Where consent is not given, only non-personalized ads are served.

The mobile apps do not use website cookies; instead, advertising partners may process a resettable device advertising identifier subject to your device’s settings, as described above.

Account and gameplay data are retained for as long as your account is active. Mailing list signups are retained until you unsubscribe. OTP codes are deleted within 24 hours of issuance regardless of whether you used them.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing business@calyirex.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within a reasonable period; aggregated, anonymized analytics may persist.

You can manage notification permissions and ad personalization in your device's system settings independently of the app.

FindingFundaa is intended for users 13 and older (16 in regions governed by GDPR). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below these ages. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections, limited access to personal data, and passwordless sign-in using one-time codes. No internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to keep your information protected and review our safeguards as the app evolves.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Substantial changes will be announced in-app or by email to mailing list subscribers.
