About FindingFundaa

A curiosity-driven trivia community built for people who love knowing things — not for the dopamine, not for the streak rewards, not for the leaderboard war. For the small, specific pleasure of remembering that the dot on top of an “i” is called a tittle.

What we are

FindingFundaa is a daily-quiz app and web experience. Every day a small, hand-curated set of trivia questions drops across genres like history, science, music, sports, pop culture, and the kind of obscure facts that you'd otherwise find buried in a Wikipedia rabbit hole at 1am.

Players answer at their own pace, build streaks, climb weekly leaderboards, save questions they liked, and form small groups around a shared love of useless-but-delightful knowledge. The mobile app is the primary product; the web quiz at findingfundaa.com is a free taste of the experience.

What we are not

  • Not a slot-machine app. There are no loot boxes, gacha mechanics, or pay-to-win features.
  • Not an attention farm. We don't push notifications begging you to come back. The streak is forgiving.
  • Not an infinite feed. The daily question set is finite on purpose. When you're done, you're done.
  • Not a school. We don't grade you. We don't compare you to anyone except people who opted into a leaderboard.

The founder

FindingFundaa was built by Swasthika Devadiga, a quiz host turned product builder who got tired of every quiz app optimizing for retention rather than joy. The app is a love letter to the quiz crowd: group-chat philosophers, fun-fact hoarders, and everyone who has ever said “wait, I know this one” with too much excitement.

We're a tiny independent team. No VC funding. No growth-hacker playbook. The brand voice is intentionally personal, because the product is personal.

How we make money

We're transparent about this because it shapes everything else. FindingFundaa earns through two channels:

  • Mobile premium subscription — ₹195/year (or local equivalent) removes ads inside the mobile app and unlocks a few quality-of-life features. Billed through Apple/Google via RevenueCat.
  • Web display ads — the public web quiz at findingfundaa.com shows Google AdSense ads. This funds free access for users who don't want to install the app. The mobile app has its own, separate ad system (Google AdMob) for free users.

We do not sell, rent, or share personal user data with anyone for their own marketing. See the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.

Editorial process

Every quiz question is reviewed by a human before it goes live. We don't auto-generate questions, we don't scrape Wikipedia, and we don't run an LLM in a loop. Question writing is slow, deliberate work — a fact has to be true, the framing has to be interesting, and the “why” in the explanation has to teach you something even if you got the answer wrong.

Spelling, sourcing, and dating of facts are double-checked. When we get something wrong, we fix it and credit the user who flagged it via the in-app reporting flow.

Images and media

The photos and illustrations that accompany our questions are sourced from the public domain and open-licensed collections (such as Wikimedia Commons, government archives, and museum open-access libraries). We use them to add context to a question, alongside our own original writing and explanations.

If you believe an image has been used in error or own the rights to something you see here, email us at business@calyirex.com and we'll review and remove it promptly.

The community

The product extends past the app. We run a public WhatsApp channel for daily question drops and the occasional fact-fight. We send a (very) occasional newsletter when something is genuinely worth sharing — launch news, weekly trivia, the kind of email people actually want to open.

The mailing list signup lives on the home page. The WhatsApp link is in the footer of every page.
